Obtain 7.5 years of electrical work experience as a union or non-union journeyman under the supervision of a licensed electrician, with a minimum of 10,500 hours of experience as a union or non-union journeyman. A master’s degree in electrical engineering is required, as well as 3,500 hours of electrical work experience under the supervision of a certified electrician.
